It has been a great season, and we have 65 riders that qualified for the State Championship!!

As we wind down, I want to thank everyone who volunteered at the tent, throughout the race venue, and/or brought food to the GHS MTB Team tent at the races throughout this season. Your support for our riders, their families, and the League has been incredible.

As with all of the races, we need volunteers at the state championship race in Glenwood Springs. Here are some important ways that you can help support our riders, build community, and be part of a fun and rewarding experience during race weekend. To make sure we have sufficient coverage and even distribution, please:

1) Contribute at least 1 food item and/or volunteer for the GHS team tent at each race attended. We’ll need around 30 people each day to help with tent setup/teardown, leading warm up rides, working the feed zone, preparing/cooking and setting out food.

Saturday, 10/19 – Freshmen Boys, Freshmen Girls, JV Boys, and JV Girls: GHS MTB SignUp- Saturday Race
Sunday, 10/20 – Sophomore Boys, Sophomore Girls, Varsity Boys, and Varsity Girls: GHS MTB SignUp – Sunday Race

2) Sign up for at least 1 CO League volunteer position. Even student athletes can volunteer at the race venue while they are not racing. It truly takes “a village” (or many villages) for the CO League to put on quality youth mountain bike races and support over 1000 riders during the State Championship weekend. Race days are not possible without amazing volunteers. There are still volunteer spots available for the upcoming race. 3) Participate in the weekend contest: DISCO! Come dressed to impress! Show off your 70’s style with original costumes, pit design, and groovy tunes! Team winners will be judged on the sparkle of their pit and unique disco attire. The most creative team with high participation is recognized during the Awards Ceremony.
